You are beginning to have lower abdominal and lower back pain. Your were told at 36 weeks you have Group B Streptococcus infection.  Your water bag  just ruptured with a lot of clear fluid leaking.  You need to go to the facility/hospital to give birth. Can you can take a tub bath first before going to the facility?  Which of the following are true statements?

1- Yes you can water will not harm the baby

2- No, your bag of water to protect the baby is gone and you are introducing GBS directly to the baby

3- No bath but you can take a shower

No, ideally you should for go to the facility as soon as possible so you can receive intravenous antibiotics for your unborn baby’s wellbeing
